Manas Kumar is one of the finest Hindustani classical violinists in the concert circuit today. Having inculcated musical instincts from the age of five, he received his initial violin education from his father, Shree G Chaumua. When he was 11 years of age he underwent intensive training for 18 years from Pt. Bidyut Misra of Guwahati, a lecturer in the virtue of violin at the State College of Music, Assam.
